What you'll learn in this illustration class:
This course is designed to introduce students to the illustration process, from ideation and freehand sketching to the development of a finished product. Students are encouraged to experiment with a variety of materials and styles, from traditional to digital and including their hybrid. Classes are supplemented with a series of presentations on contemporary illustrators and discussion of their methods.
Prerequisite(s): Introduction to Drawing.
A leader in educating artists, designers, and scholars since 1866, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) offers nationally accredited degree programs as well as Continuing Studies programs for adults and children, ages 4-18. Considered one of the most influential art and design schools in the world, SAIC has continuing studies programs available to all skill levels. Students develop their creative and critical abilities while working with renowned faculty, utilizing state-of-the-art resources, and visiting the breath-taking galleries at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Refund Policy
FOR ADULTS:
- 100 percent tuition refund one week prior to first class.
- No refunds will be issued less that one week prior to first class.
- 100 percent tuition refund prior to Friday, May 13.
- 100 percent tuition refund less $100 cancellation fee after May 13 and prior to the second class.
- No refunds will be issued after the second class has met.
