What you'll learn in this beginner sewing class:

Learn how to thread your machine and sew a cute pin cushion from recycled materials!  

Want to learn how to sew, but don't want to commit to a lengthy class? Then this class is for you! 

We will explore and create:

  • How to thread your sewing machine
  • Basic machine stitches
  • Seam allowances
  • How to pin your pattern and fabric together correctly
The school will provide: 
  • Expert instructions
  • Sewing machines
  • Cutting tables
  • Basic notions
  • Basic tools
  • Fabric for mock-ups
Participants Must Bring: Just Bring Yourself

You also get a $20 credit with this class which you can use towards our upcycled clothing and accessories, or fabric for your next project. Students must use their clothing credit on the same day as their class.

It was a very nice introductory course that allowed me to quickly learn to thread the sewing machine and make a small project. I was only hoping to learn a little bit more sewing glossary or maybe a sheet with directions to go along with our project. I left with a really cute pincushion!
