Description
What you'll learn in this sewing class:
Learn or refresh fundamental hand- and machine-sewing skills in this multi-level weekend workshop. Students will discover how to read and customize basic sewing patterns and properly lay out fabrics for cutting in order to construct their own tote bags.
No experience necessary. Project is customizable with a variety of seams, finishes, and techniques for students with previous sewing experience.
A leader in educating artists, designers, and scholars since 1866, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) offers nationally accredited degree programs as well as Continuing Studies programs for adults and children, ages 4-18. Considered one of the most influential art and design schools in the world, SAIC has continuing studies programs available to all skill levels. Students develop their creative and critical abilities while working with renowned faculty, utilizing state-of-the-art resources, and visiting the breath-taking galleries at the Art Institute of Chicago
Refund Policy
FOR ADULTS:
- 100 percent tuition refund one week prior to first class.
- No refunds will be issued less that one week prior to first class.
- 100 percent tuition refund prior to Friday, May 13.
- 100 percent tuition refund less $100 cancellation fee after May 13 and prior to the second class.
- No refunds will be issued after the second class has met.
