Description

What you'll learn in this baking class:

We will demystify how to make tender, flaky crusts, wrap them around delicious sweet and savory fillings, and bake them to golden perfection!

Menu:
  • Perfect Pie Dough
  • Swiss Chard, Leek and Bacon Tart
  • Blueberry Cardamom Lattice Pie
  • Individual Strawberry Rhubarb Crostatas with Cornmeal Crust

  • Making and Rolling Pie Dough

  • Savory Custard Fillings
Each student will make their own blueberry pie in an 8-inch disposable pie pan to take home!

Due to the layout of our kitchens and in consideration of your classmates, students will work in groups of 3 to 5 people. Parties of 6 or more will be directed to our private events department so we can accommodate them appropriately.

Refund Policy

All classes have a 4 business days cancellation policy, except Culinary Boot Camps which have a 16 business days cancellation policy.

You must email us at [email protected] to cancel an existing reservation, but please note the 15% service fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you cancel within 4 business days, you will not receive a refund or credit for your class, but feel free to send a guest in your place. Our credit card refund policy is 90 days. If your purchase was made prior to that, you will receive an account credit, not a refund to your credit card.

Please note:

  • All virtual class sales are final.
  • All virtual students will receive a recording of the class within 48 hours of the class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    The class was excellent! I actually no longer feel intimidated at the thought of making my own pie crust for a sweet or savory pie. Each student left with a blueberry pie, 1 or 2 pieces of a savory tart, and an individual crostatas all made in class.

    I'm very thankful for what the chef taught me yesterday. As being an overseas attendee, I couldn't catch up every single word the chef said, but I did pay full of my attention to her. She is such a brilliant chef. Of course a teacher, too. BTW, I went through the recepe and looked up the dictionary right after I got back to the hostel, I even can't remember when the last I STUDIED SO HARD. It could be a century ago. Thanks Chopping Block. Thank you, chef!

    I loved this class, great instructor but also the fact that Chopping Block has such a relaxing atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. This is my 4th class there and I plan to continue going.
