Our confectionista loves working with chocolate and designing truffles, so much so that she created these “parties” back in 2010 as a way to encourage more people to work with chocolate. We invite you to join us in the back of the house at our new Irving Park café and workshop, for the truffle-making class of your dreams.
You'll create classic hand-rolled truffles with our guidance: each group will design a truffle recipe completely from scratch. No stress — we've taught hundreds of folks how to make truffles, and we make it fun and delicious! You'll taste 4 types of chocolate, hear about our truffle-designing process, then learn how to properly mix and heat a chocolate ganache. You'll create, measure, chill, scoop, and roll truffles to completion. Everyone will leave with a sampling of the truffles created that day (approximately 8-12.)
You're welcome to BYOB — we'll have glasses for ya! What could be better than wine & chocolate? We recommend medium-bodied reds, anything sparkling and not too sweet (Lambrusco anyone?)
Note: Please wear close toed shoes, as we are a working kitchen.
The class will last for 2.5-3 hours.
Students may cancel 6 business days in advance of the class to get a refund less 5% cancellation fee.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
