What you'll learn in this kids culinary class:
Calling all budding chefs! This class is designed for young chefs ages 12-17 years old who have a hunger for cooking, and are passionate about expanding their culinary knowledge in our fun, interactive and engaging hands-on classes. After class today, you'll have the know how to fire up the grill and successfully grill chicken to perfection.
Menu:
- Lemon-Garlic Grilled Chicken Breasts with Grilled Corn-Tomato Salad
- BBQ Chicken Legs with Creamy Cabbage Slaw
- Grilled Chicken-Pineapple Skewers with Sweet and Sour Glaze

- How to set up your grill
- Selecting and grilling chicken
- Determining chicken doneness
- Grilling vegetablesa
- Balancing flavors
- Working with fresh herbs and spices
- Making glazes
Grilling classes take place outdoors on our patio and are therefore subject to weather cancellation.
In the event of a cancellation, all participants will be contacted by phone and email no later than 10am (for lunch-time classes) and 2pm (for evening classes) on the day of class. Sponsored by Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet.

Refund Policy
All classes have a 4 business days cancellation policy, except Culinary Boot Camps which have a 16 business days cancellation policy.
You must email us at [email protected] to cancel an existing reservation, but please note the 15% service fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you cancel within 4 business days, you will not receive a refund or credit for your class, but feel free to send a guest in your place. Our credit card refund policy is 90 days. If your purchase was made prior to that, you will receive an account credit, not a refund to your credit card.
Please note:
- All virtual class sales are final.
- All virtual students will receive a recording of the class within 48 hours of the class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
