The Web Development Course will take you through the full journey of programming a web application – from installing the tools to utilizing some of the leading web development languages and technologies, including:

• HTML/CSS
• Bootstrap
• Javascript/jQuery
• Ruby on Rails, and more

This course is for beginners with no prior programming experience who are passionate about learning to code and have the discipline to show up every day ready to go.

What Will You Learn?

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

• Program: Program a portfolio of mobile applications that showcase your capabilities to potential employers
• Learn: Learn best practices for modern web development, including organizing a workspace, working in teams, and leveraging external resources
• Utilize: Utilize leading web development technologies to program and deploy an interactive website for a project of your topic

Note: For all classes, students will check in and be greeted on the 5th floor of the Burnham Center. Students will be required to bring a laptop to class. If students do not have a laptop, they should contact DPI after registering to reserve a temporary laptop for class use.
