Explore the possibilities of working in clay using both the wheel and hand-building techniques. Wheel techniques will begin with simpler forms including a cylinder, bowl, and plate. Handbuilding will include pinch pots, slabs, and coils. The possibilities are endless! Ceramics projects will be ready for pick up approximately 2 weeks after camp. Caregivers will be contacted via email when projects are ready.
Learn hand-building techniques as you pinch, coil, and mold projects inspired by the rainforest. Some ceramic projects include a jungle relief sculpture, tree frog, and a planter to help our green friends grow.

This workshop will examine the possibility of using some overlooked materials such as cardboards and recycled papers. Students will develop an idea by assembling materials to create 3D works of art, to experience broader concepts around collage. The goal is to create something beautiful while focusing on enhancing skills and nurturing creativity.
A continuation of exploring collage using mixed media materials, drawing techniques, photographs and more. Emphasis will be on creating one’s own personal imagery and refining techniques.
