Christian Pritchard is a triple threat in the culinary world…and it doesn’t stop there. Armed with the skills to create cutting-edge dishes, an ability to plan events of the highest level down to each important detail, and a shining charisma, he is a stylish and exciting performer who intrigues and captivates audiences around the world. Christian has a passion for food that goes beyond the innovative recipes he creates. Having traveled to some of the culinary Mecca’s of the world as a celebrity chef with Transat Tours, and having studied cooking in such regions as Tuscany, Campania, Rome, and Ireland, Christian is a powerful advocate for the importance of utilizing fresh, local ingredients in simple, yet delectable meals, and his passion for the new, the unusual, and the unexpected is completely infectious.  He has a loyal following for his sold-out cooking classes throughout Ontario and is in demand as a high-end caterer. With a background in event planning he has a knack for creating dinners full of atmosphere and fabulous food.  And with his larger-than-life personality and his stratospheric enthusiasm, he is dedicated to inspiring in others the same love for food that he has always had.

Christian is a trailblazer in food; he helped create the very first Yukon Culinary Festival, generating interest and appeal in a society which lays so far north, its rich food culture is just beginning to make a splash on the food scene. He has caught the attention of many national and international TV shows where as a guest he cooks up incredible food and shares his extensive knowledge and experiences with audiences in an exciting way.  As a frequent guest and food expert on “Steven and Chris”, “Breakfast Television”, “Canada AM”, “NEWSTALK1010”, “Global TV”, and “CHCH Morning Show”, Christian’s talent as a seasoned TV personality and expert cook is clear.

Born and raised in the culturally diverse city of Toronto, Christian grew up having the opportunity to experience all the food, music, and celebrations of people from different parts of the world. Baptized as a youngster by the sights, smells, and tastes of the St. Lawrence Market, food is Christian’s religion. As its ultimate evangelist, Christian preaches the importance of fresh, local ingredients and a no-holds-barred attitude towards mixing and developing flavours in both traditional and new ways.

Tradition is very important to Christian. It is his belief that the greatest of all dishes come from a simple recipe built out of the finest of ingredients and an understanding of the elements of taste to bring out the best they have to offer. Christian lives by the doctrine “Food is secondary to the people around the table.” Come to his table and lets eat!
