KATHY SCAMBIATTERRA is Artistic Director and co-founder of The Artistic Home. She is the recipient of four leading role Jeff nominations; an LA Dramalogue Award and After Dark Award for direction. Ms. Scambiatterra is the director of the actor training program at The Artistic Home. A long time student of legendary Meisner protege Ed Kaye-Martin, she has taught at The Steppenwolf School, Columbia College, Center Theater's The Training Center, Chicago, IL; Carolyn Berry Studio, The Pacific Resident Theatre LA, CA; Director’s Symposium, US Army, Heidelberg, Germany; Screen Training Ireland, Dublin, Ireland; and currently at Chicago High School for the Arts. ED KRYSTOSEK studied acting at Northwestern University with David Downs and Les Hinderyckx and performed with several Chicago theaters before beginning his Meisner training with Kathy Scambiatterra. In the six years since, he has appeared in Natural Affection, The Madwoman of Chaillot, "Life Drawing", and Landscape of the Body, as well as directing and assistant directing Studio and Mainstage productions. Now in his third year instructing at The Artistic Home, Ed loves helping actors develop emotional freedom. Patrick Thornton has worked as an Actor and Director in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. Acting credits include Blissfield, and Greetings at Victory Gardens Theatre. Both Directed by Dennis Zacek. Also, Street Scene, Angel City, In The Shadow Of The Glenn, and Waiting For Lefty at The Artistic Home, all Directed by Kathy Scambiatterra. Patrick was a long time student of legendary acting instructor and Meisner protege Ed Kaye-Martin.
