Alex Curry

Teaches at Lincoln Square Fencing

Alex has been fencing for nearly 10 years. Fencing has become a great way to stay physically and mentally healthy while making new friends. He finds this sport constantly provides new challenges, which he is ready to undertake. As a coach, he enjoys showing how fun the sport can be and watching his students succeed; plus, it feeds his ego.

Learning new and sometimes difficult activities can be frustrating, so Alex works to keep his lessons relaxed and in a positive atmosphere. He believes students should have fun while always growing their skills. He believes in positive reinforcement. His intuition and attention to details help him evaluate where students can improve and he takes great pride in creating lessons that challenge his students without while keeping the class atmosphere fun and light.

Alex is certified as a Moniteur in Foil, with a focus in adult beginner and intermediate classes.
