Microsoft Office 365 and OneNote - Online Course

Microsoft Office 365 is where it's at today for office applications. It provides a full suite of MS apps and tools, the capacity to access these from all your devices, Cloud storage, and continual program updates. In the morning half of this webinar, discover Office 365 free apps, including OneDrive, Microsoft's online cloud storage. With Microsoft's free online apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Sway, and Forms, and more) you can create new files, view recent files, share files, and assign privileges for viewing or editing the shared files through OneDrive.

You will also learn about the differences between the online apps and the full desktop version programs. The afternoon session is devoted to the full desktop version of OneNote. OneNote is a note-taking program within your Microsoft Office Suite that offers pre-formatted note-taking design templates, but it does so much more. OneNote uses a notebook format with pages and section tabs for collecting and organizing the data found in other Office software: text, graphics, audio, and video clips. OneNote is integrated with the Office suite and has two-way integration with Outlook. Learn tips and tricks to improve your efficiency. Class will also include some Windows features, versions 7 and 10. 

Prerequisite: Understanding of basics of Microsoft Office. 

Course requirements: 

• To participate in class you will need good Internet connection and a telephone. 
• Come prepared for class with your username and password for your email / Microsoft Account.
• You are welcome to use your own account if you have one or create one in class.

Prior to class: 

• You will receive an email invitation containing a link to join the class from your instructor. You will also receive an Enotebook which you may download and print (printing is not required) and class files to download in advance. Your instructor will walk you through the process prior to class at no extra cost if you are new to online classes and would like assistance getting started. 
• The live class will be conducted through GoToMeeting. You are not required to own this software. When you open the link provided by your instructor, you will be prompted to download the app. It only takes a few minutes at most to begin. The instructor email will also contain a toll-free number for you to dial into for the conference call. An access code will be listed below the telephone number on the email invitation. The call will prompt you to enter the access code. Once in the virtual classroom, you will be able to view the instructor's screen and the instructor will be present to welcome you into the class.
• This webinar is interactive with opportunities for you to practice skills and get questions answered. You will have breaks throughout the day, as well as an hour break for lunch.

Note:

Class time is in MT. Class is held in Go To Meeting. Good internet connection and a laptop or device with camera and mic is needed. You will receive an email with connection information before the class. Be ready to log on and join the meeting 5-10 minutes prior to the class start time so you will be ready when class begins.
