Description

This mosaic workshop introduces fundamental techniques while giving you the opportunity to experiment with diverse materials and create a finished artwork or functional home accent piece. You will select either a small wooden picture frame or a shadow box as your base, then compose a design using stained glass, mirror pieces, and various found materials. The direct method of mosaic fabrication is employed, utilizing thin-set mortar as the adhesive base. This approach allows for flexible creativity while maintaining structural integrity.

The workshop welcomes all experience levels; no prior mosaic experience is necessary. All materials are provided as part of the class, though you are welcome to bring supplemental materials to personalize your creation. The hands-on instruction and supportive environment ensure you leave with both a completed piece and the skills to create additional mosaics. BYOB friendly atmosphere makes this an ideal social creative experience.

Refund Policy

  • Full refund for cancellation 7 or more days before the class.
  • 50% refund for cancellation 6 days to 24 hours in advance of the class.
  • No refund for cancellation of less than 24 hour notice.
  • Reschedule request  is fine so long as it is 24 hours in advance.

  • Mosaic Workshop

It's always nice to take a class where you learn something and leave with an object you actually adore and want to display. this class was a great blend of process and product. It is fun to do on your own, but because there's some downtime while you're waiting for materials to solidify, it could be a lot of fun for a group of friends because it allows for a little more interaction.
