Description

This foundational sewing course is designed for anyone eager to learn machine sewing skills from the ground up. Whether you want to hem your own clothing, revive a dusty sewing machine, or recover from a past jamming incident, this beginner-friendly class welcomes you. Guided by a patient and supportive expert instructor, you will master the fundamental skills needed to operate a home sewing machine, including proper threading, re-threading techniques, and effective troubleshooting methods.

Class Projects Include: A fully lined tote bag, a large hemmed bandana, and practicing hemming techniques on various fabrics.

Course Features:

Access to sewing machines in the studio; no need to bring your own equipment
Open studio practice time on Sundays, arranged as needed, for practice and project completion
Guidance in selecting appropriate fabrics for your projects
Use of industrial cutting tables for preparing pattern pieces and materials

Practice hours provide flexibility to complete assigned projects, work at your own pace, or pursue any personal sewing projects you wish to create.

Refund Policy

Classes can be rescheduled with 2 business days but refunds for classes are not available.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
