Description

This is a course designed to help you pursue your passion in computer programming and game development. The course is tailored specifically for individuals with no programming or very little programming knowledge.

You will learn the Unity IDE and how to navigate and perform the basics of 3D modeling, object relations and scripting. You will also learn the fundamentals of computer programming and the terminology and concepts used in the field of computer science. The ins and outs of creating a video game from scratch, and the techniques you need to know to create stunning games will be covered.

Creating a primitive game object
Manipulation and positioning of game objects
Terrain generation
Level design
User input

Importing 3d models and working with assets from the asset store

By the end of the course, you will not just have the theoretical knowledge of the Unity game engine, but also the hands-on skills to utilize the power of the Unity engine and a strong foundation in the fundamentals of computer programming!

Requirements & Development Environment

Student must provide their own notebook computers.
All necessary software and code exercises and labs will be provided to you for successfully completion of the course.
You will also get a hard copy of Introduction to Game Programming: Using C# and Unity 3D as reading and reference material for the course and beyond.

Refund Policy

We offer refunds up to 7 days prior to the class and in the event of a class cancellation. If we reschedule the class, we'll offer you a refund if you can't make the new dates. In any other circumstance, a credit will be issued which can be applied toward a future class. This credit is valid for up to 6 months from date issued. We are not liable for any travel, or other, expenses that you may incur to participate in the class.

Code District reserves the right to cancel a workshop any time before the first day of the workshop date due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. In the event that a cancellation is necessary, paid participants of the affected course will be issued a full refund.
