React.js in a Weekend - Learn and Start Using React.js, Flux & React Native

React in a Weekend is an extended version of our popular one day React.js training. This full weekend of instruction is dedicated entirely to teaching and getting you started building applications in React.js. Because React is just the “V in MVC” you’ll also learn how to build full applications around React with the Flux architecture.

What You Will Learn From This Class
This class teaches experienced JavaScript developers how to build applications with the React. You will learn development principles of the React.js framework by diving hands-first into working examples. You’ll learn how to build isomorphic web apps that run on both client and server for lightning-fast load times and efficiency.

React.js professional Grant Nestor will guide you through development of a real-world application using React.

Students will explore the Flux Architecture for Facebook’s React framework. From the basics through building a working example application, you’ll learn the ins and outs of practical, real-world development.

This course will also give you an introduction to building apps with React Native! You will get up and running quickly, and will learn the core knowledge you need to deeply understand and build React components for mobile devices.

By the end of the workshop you will have a good idea of what ReactJS is and how you can apply it in your JavaScript User Interfaces.

This was a rather advanced class, which required you to have some prior working experience with React. I think I would get more out of the class if I already had such experience. Choice of topics and technologies was good: Some theory was presented in the morning and then right into making apps in the afternoon.
