Katie Gillies is a surface and product designer from Nottingham, England. She set up her studio from her parents garage back in 2015 and began doing both personal design projects and commissioned work for clients. Later in 2016, she moved into a studio in Nottingham’s city centre, where she still is today (now with a very pink floor).

Katie specialises in using Jesmonite, which is a acrylic and resin based material, to create her colourful terrazzo surfaces and products. Every piece is carefully cast by hand and is completely unique in it’s colour and design. Her terrazzo works can be used for interior projects and products, ranging from wall panels to homeware goods.

As well as creating bespoke surfaces and homeware products, she also holds a number of casting workshops around the U.K., where you can learn and create your own pair of terrazzo coasters.
