What you'll learn in this pasta making class:

In this interactive online cooking class with Italian-trained Chef Chris, you'll learn how to make ravioli from scratch in the comfort of your own kitchen. Best of all, there is no fancy equipment required — just a bowl, a knife, and a rolling pin. 

Chef Chris will begin by teaching you how to make the pasta dough, then you'll concoct two fillings — spinach and ricotta, and three cheese.

Our cooking classes are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. 


  • Homemade Pasta Dough
  • Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli Filling
  • Three Cheese Ravioli Filling
  • Brown Butter and Sage Sauce


  • All-purpose flour 
  • Eggs 
  • Grated pecorino or Parmigiano cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese 
  • Whole milk ricotta
  • Fresh or frozen spinach
  • Black pepper
  • Nutmeg (optional) 
  • Butter
  • Fresh sage
  • Parsley (optional)

Kitchen Equipment

  • Wooden or plastic cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Two mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups
  • Rolling pin (ideally wooden) 
  • Plastic wrap
  • Pasta machine (optional)
  • Whisk or fork
  • Large pot


  • Recipes are sent in your booking confirmation.
  • Ingredients can be adapted for dietary restrictions or lack of availability.
  • Connect with the chef using Zoom on your computer, tablet or mobile device.
  • Every class is fully interactive.
  • Chef demonstrates each step and assists you as you perform each step.
  • Ask questions and have the chef check your progress.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Things come up at the last minute — we completely understand. You can cancel a booking up to 48 hours before the event without any fees. However, you will be billed for the full amount if you cancel less than 48 hours before a Golden Apron event.

Great class, instructor was very good. Registered on Coursehorse, class run by Classpop. Had difficulty between the two platforms getting a copy of the recipe in advance...ended up having to run back to the store the morning of to get more quantities. Links to the recipes sent did not work. The class says it is an hour, but was 1.5 or 2 hr, I can't quite remember. So the time should be adjusted so people can plan accordingly!
