Description

What you'll learn in this italian cooking class:

This recipe for delicious potato gnocchi will be useful well into the future (if not forever!). Chef Paul will show you how to make them fast and how to make them light, a perfect meal at home with family or with friends.

You’ll learn the secret to making a perfect breaded chicken breast and a yummy tomato and basil bruschetta (the Italian way). A light and fruity sorbet rounds out a beautiful brunch menu.

  • Tomato and basil bruschetta
  • Potato gnocchi with tomato-vodka sauce
  • Oven-roasted breaded chicken breast
  • Mango sorbet

Students below 18 years old should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Our space is ideal for socially distanced food preparation and dining (long tables, a wall of open windows in the dining area), and it is professionally cleaned before and after each class. Classes will be limited to 6 people and everyone will wear masks during the food prep.

The setting was perfect with a nice open space with plenty of room to spread out at the different stations. It had a warm cozy vibe which was perfect for the prep and a nice sit down meal after we were finished. Chef Paul was very explanatory in how the class would run, taught all of us what was happening even if we weren't working at a particular station, and added tips and tricks that I could take home and apply to many different recipes. I would love to take another class here in the future.

Everything about my experience with your company and the class with Paul was perfect. You were very responsive to my request to consider my granddaughter’s nut allergy and other various questions I posed. As soon as we arrived at the class Paul immediately identified my granddaughter as having an allergy and reassured us that everything would be taken care of. Paul was a fabulous chef very caring and a wonderful teacher. The meal was fun to prepare and delicious to eat. My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the experience and said it was the best gift I’ve ever given her and I enjoyed it as much as she did. Thank you for your assistance in making this happen for us.

Our cooking class was hosted by a master chef who balanced high culinary experience with practical tips for us. We had a great balance of roles and also a wonderful menu to work on for a fine afternoon lunch. It was the perfect combination of cooking tips, discussion, learning and of course eating. The kitchen and dining area were pristine and indicative of a French country bistro.

This class was a lot of fun. The menu was delicious and pretty easy to make once Paul showed us his techniques. This class or any class at Miette Culinary Studio would be fun for a group of girlfriends or for a work event. The studio in Little Italy was very nice. Chef Paul was great and made it a very enjoyable afternoon. Planning on coming back with our family and a girl's outing.

Miette

Miette means, "little crumb" in French. This name was chosen while giving cooking classes at the restaurant Tartine in the West Village. Since Tartine means "slice of bread" we thought it an appropriate name for the school!
