What you'll learn in this meditation class:

This 4-week course (once a week) will help you understand the nature of the mind and how to develop concentration and inner stability. Participants are guided in basic techniques with the aim of helping them to establish a daily practice.

Meditation is now recognized as one of the great tools to a healthy mind and body. Learn how to set up a meditation practice, the practices that will lead to a deep meditation, and the basics of the science of mantra.

Refund Policy

The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center NYC reserves the right to cancel a course if it has not enrolled enough students before the beginning of the course’s instruction.

In the case of such course cancellation, all enrolled students will be notified by email and/or phone and will be given the option of:

a full refund of the course fee
an equivalent credit towards another course at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center NYC

Should any students find it necessary to cancel any course registration, please review our cancellation and refund policy below:

If you inform the Center at least 5 business days before the commencement of the course’s instruction, you shall receive a full refund of the course fee or as an alternative, an equivalent credit towards another course at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center NYC;
If you inform the Center less than 5 days before the commencement of the course’s instruction, you shall receive a refund of 75% of the course fee or as an alternative, an equivalent 75% credit towards another course at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center NYC;
If you inform the Center after the course commences, no refund or credit will be issued.

Should any students find it necessary to transfer any course registration to a new date, please review our policy below:

If you inform the Center at least 5 business days before the commencement of the course’s instruction, you shall be able to transfer to a new course without any extra charge;
If you inform the Center less than 5 days before the commencement of the course’s instruction, you shall be able to use 85% of the course towards another course at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center NYC;
If you inform the Center after the course commences, you shall be able to use 75% of the course towards another course at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center NYC.

Is it $80 per class or for all 4 sessions? How long are the classes? What do I need to bring? Yoga Mat? Is it hard in the knees?

Dear Betsey, yes, $80 is for all 4 sessions, which are 90 minutes each. No need to bring anything, unless you would like to take notes. It is good to wear loose, comfortable clothing, no need to bring a yoga mat. Mats and cushions are set up on the floor and chairs available too -- so that it doesn't have to be hard on the knees.
