Let's make Wednesday nights a new tradition where KIDS take the lead on making dinner! Who's with us?

Join us as we make dinner fun! Our new online weekly cooking series -- Let's Make Dinner! -- provides children ages 6 to 15 the opportunity to connect with others, learn new skills, discover new foods and gather together to prepare dinner for their family each week.

Limited-size live classes are full of excitement and connection, each class culminating with a hearty, healthy family dinner. From crazy fried rice, to handmade meatballs & marinara and make-your-own quesadillas with guacamole and salsa and more -- this class will be the highlight of your week!

Whether your child's dream is to be a chef or they simply want to try something new, watch them develop knife skills, learn about sauce-making, and perfect their seasoning skills as we work our way towards Kitchen independence. Get ready for some kitchen fun as we take the guess work out of what's for dinner.

Each dinner menu is customizable based on the ingredients you can find and your family's dietary preferences whether you are vegetarian or gluten-free. We've got you covered.

Wednesday Class

  • July 15: Breakfast for Dinner - Omelettes and French Toast Sticks
  • July 22: Homemade Stroganoff
  • July 29: Chicken Pot Pie

Thursday Class

  • June 25: Quesadillas w/ Salsa & Guac

How This Works

We'll be sharing the same amazing culinary entertainment you'd get if you were in our Kitchen, except you can be in your jammies (no judgement here).

Participation:

Participation is for children ages 6-15 with an adult present to chaperone and assist as needed. Our goal is for the kids to do as much of the cooking as they can. 

We will be using knives, peelers, raw chicken/beef, and the stovetop and oven throughout our series so based on your child's age and kitchen comfort, you will be their sous-chef as needed. Otherwise, we want parents to sit back and enjoy!

Shopping List:

You will receive an email the week before each class that includes a shopping list for dinner along with the recipe(s) so that you can purchase what you need to actively participate. 

Most ingredients are pantry staples and/or readily available in most grocery stores. Each dinner menu is customizable based on the ingredients you can find and your family's dietary preferences whether you are vegetarian or gluten-free. We've got you covered.

Accessing the Class:

You will need to download the free Zoom app onto your desktop, tablet or phone before the class. You will receive a separate email that includes a Zoom link to our online class. We recommend joining from a laptop to see better but tablets work just fine as well. 

Please have all of your ingredients and equipment ready and waiting and your recipes out.


Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows:

Cancellations made 24 hours in advance will receive a full account credit for them to reschedule to a later date.

Original cancellation policy (non-COVID-19):

Registrations are non-refundable. Cancellation notice must be received by email 48 hours prior to the start time of your event to receive kitchen credit, less a 10% cancellation fee. For multi-day camps and semesters, cancellation notice must be received 48 hours prior to the first day of the registered series to receive credit for the entire series; we are not able to offer partial cancellations or makeup classes for individual sick days that are missed. Kitchen credits expire 6 months from the date of your request. 

No refunds or kitchen credits will be issued when fewer than 48 hours notice is provided. Taste Buds Kitchen is unable to make exceptions to this policy for scheduling conflicts, last-minute illnesses or no shows. If you cannot attend your event for any reason, you are always welcome to send a friend in your place, and we hope that you do! If you registered via CourseHorse, you must send your cancellation request to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> within 48-hours of the class start time to receive a credit.

Please note that the confirmation email students receive from CourseHorse is not the official confirmation email from the school, and that students are not guaranteed to be enrolled into the class they’ve registered until they receive the confirmation email from Taste Buds Kitchen.
