Kids embark on an exciting adventure across the many continents that speak French! They will travel the Silk Road through Asia, go on an expedition across Africa, follow in the footsteps of the great explorers of the Americas, and trace the rich culture and history of Europe.
Week-long day camps are offered all summer long. Daily language lessons are paired with an assortment of fun activities like cooking, theater, art, music, cinema, sports, science, and yoga—all based around exciting themes.
Kids will laugh, play, explore, learn, and stay active as they visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Children’s Museum, MoMa, the Asia Society, and other cultural spots around the city. They will enjoy workshops taught by Big Apple Circus, Sheridan Fencing Academy, New York City Football Club, French Cheese Board, and others.
Open to all levels of French including complete beginners. Specific groups available for native French speakers.

June 15–19 & June 22–26
Travel the Silk Road Through Asia
Kids will travel the Silk Road through Asia, discovering the art, music, cuisine, sports, and traditions of countries with French-influences.
Highlights include yoga and basketball of Laos, calligraphy lessons, and an introduction to Asian music. Kids will visit the Asia Society and the United Nations, and make banana leaf wraps.
July 1–5 & July 8–12
Discover Science-Fiction with Jules Verne
Kids will immerse themselves in Jules Verne's fantastic world of books: Around the World in 80 Days, 5 Weeks in A Balloon, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Inspired by this pioneer of science-fiction, kids will compare his 19th century stoires with stories from the 21st century through reading, theater exercises, and creating writing.
June 29–July 2 & July 6–10
Follow in the Footsteps of the explorers of the Americas
Kids will follow the footsteps of the great explorers, including Jacques Cartier in Canada and Christopher Columbus in the Americas through film and literature. They will discover the beats of Caribbean music and the great Jazz standards of the United States.
They will visit The Children’s Museum and go on a treasure hunt at Battery Park.
July 13–17 & July 20–24
Trace the History of Europe
Travel back to the French Revolution through a Bastille Day celebration. Make delicious French breakfast and enjoy chocolates from Switzerland and Belgium. Dance to the music of French pop-stars, and experience the very best art from France through Micro-Folie, an interactive digital museum.
July 27–31 & August 3–7
Discover the rich traditions and landscapes of Morocco, Nigeria, Congo, and Senegal through expeditions in nature and art!
Play soccer, dance to the beats of Staff Benda Bilili and Youssou Ndour, make African delicacies, visit the African Art department of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and go on a treasure hunt in Little Senegal.
Please Note: Kids should bring a cold lunch.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
