Who this class is for: Early Intermediate and Intermediate adult students who just want to make music together!
When: This class is held on Tuesdays at 7:30pm.
Goal: To have fun playing music together!
What You Will Do: Every week is slightly different. We will work on a piece for as long as necessary (usually 3 - 6 weeks), then we'll cycle it in with other recent pieces. Twice a year we'll have a formal concert, but about once a month we'll have jam opportunities to run through recent songs once through in a casual setting. Some pieces we have played in the past:
If you can play the above, then you can play what we're playing in class.
Pre-requisites: Must feel comfortable in first position and have some knowledge of shifting. Must be comfortable with various bow techniques, accidentals and several keys.
Who this class is not for: Absolute Beginners, Beginners and Late Beginners. These levels should attend on Wednesday or Saturday instead. This class will move too fast for you. Also, Intermediate or Early Intermediate students who are only looking to focus on technique music. (Do this in the 6:30 Technique class)
Do I need a violin to attend this class?
Yes, definitely. And you'll need one to take home with you, too. If you need to rent a violin from us.
Instead of collecting down payments, we use class and lesson packages as a down payment, so before we turn over your violin, we'll need to see that receipt or record.
