Latin Date Night

We took this class as a family - my husband and I and our adult children with their significant others. We had so much fun everyone is clamoring to please book another class. Chef Kim was an amazing teacher, so easy going and patient. From the beginners in our group to the veteran cooks among us - we all learned new skills. Every part of the preparation was hands-on and performed by the participants. The huge pile of ingredients in the middle of the work space we saw when we entered the room, little by little, was transferred into a lovely, and delicious multi-course meal. As we worked we enjoyed the fresh sangria and margaritas we made, and appetizers of guacamole and chips (all made from scratch). At the end, we all sat down to share this wonderful meal. Recipes were provided for everyone to replicate these dishes at home. The room was tremendous and had lots of room for the six couples to all work. Although everyone began with chopping, as the prep went on, Chef Kim cleverly put together teams of couples to take on different parts of the meal. There was the guacamole crew, the soup couple, those that made the tortilla chips and those that specialized in making the drinks, etc. I would highly recommend any course taken at the JCC and with Chef Kim.
