Johanna Neuman

Johanna Neuman is a writer, historian and scholar in residence at American University in Washington, D.C. An award-winning journalist, she covered the White House, the State Department and Congress for the Los Angeles Times and USA Today and was awarded a Nieman Fellowship for journalists at Harvard University. She also served as president of the White House Correspondents Association.

Jim O'Grady

Jim O'Grady is a features reporter at WNYC. He has also told stories on This American Life, Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen and The Moth podcast. He’s been a reporter for The New York Times; professor of journalism at NYU; and director of research for the Center for an Urban Future, a policy think tank. He’s also the author of two biographies: Dorothy Day: With Love For The Poor, and Disarmed & Dangerous: The Radical Lives and Times of Daniel and Philip Berrigan.

    Really slow and sleepy lecture which is bad with such an interesting subject. The moderator was great but the author a really bad lecturer. I Can excuse many faults in seminars and talks, as long as there is some real enthusiasm. So unfortunately this was not a good class at all.
