Noriyuki Misawa

Teaches at Brooklyn Shoe Space

From 2002, he started to learn the shoe making in the shoe workshop of Asakusa. Towards a shoemaker,and learning in earnest making shoes in a professional school for the next year from two years shoes.

After graduating in 2004, he worked as a shoemaker. He also served as a shoes school instructor. Since 2009, immigration Austria, to Vienna. In Vienna, City of Shoes, he gained further experience in shoe manufacturing. He also studied Central European art history at the same time, and learned to be ambitious in the field of art as a field work. After returning home, he organized and launched a MISAWA & WORKSHOP in 2011, his own shoe workshop. At the same time, he became the originator of leather embossed dyed in leather craftsmen, and studied under Etsuko Mori. Currently, he is a Japan leather crafts association member. He held a solo exhibition at the 2014 Ginza Gallery.

In 2010 Germany, International Efficiency Contest of shoemakers (international shoe craftsmanship contest), he won the gold medal. He also received honorary awards, both award winning, in the 33rd 2015 Japan leather crafts exhibition "Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Minister Award" and many others.
