David Miller

Teaches at 92nd Street Y

After graduating from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, David Miller began his professional career in Washington, D.C. with the National Symphony Orchestra followed by membership in the U.S. Navy Band. When his tour of duty ended Mr. Miller pursued graduate studies as a scholarship student at the Manhattan School of Music, Long Island University and Brooklyn College. Mr. Miller has performed as a bassoonist with the Long Island Philharmonic, Brooklyn Philharmonia, Jupiter Symphony Orchestra, Little Orchestra Society, Harlem Dance Theatre and The Alvin Ailey Dance Company. As a classroom instructor Mr. Miller has taught the recorder under the auspices of the New York Philharmonic, Young Audiences of New York and New Jersey, The Harlem School of the Arts and 92nd Street Y.​
