Gabriel Wareing

Teaches at New York City Guitar School East

Originally from England, Gabriel Wareing is a Manhattan-based guitarist, composer, and arranger. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he specialized in Jazz performance and composition.

After college, Gabriel continued to steep himself in Blues, Soul, and R&B, and combining his rhythm guitar chops with a passion for improvised music. He has performed with artists such as Tony Award-winning actress Frances Ruffelle and Jazz/Fusion artists Mike Stern and Lee Ritenour, both live in concert and on television, and has been featured on UK networks BBC radio as well as Sky Arts and Sky One. He’s also performed as a guitarist for musical theatre, on shows such as Grease! The Musical, Les Misérables, Whistle Down The Wind, Children Of Eden and many others.

Gabriel’s passion for music shines through in his lessons and inspires students of all ages. We’re thrilled to have him join the NYCGS team!
