Mark Zuckerman

Guitarist Max Zuckerman is a multifaceted guitarist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. He received his Master of Music Degree from the Yale School of Music where he studied with Benjamin Verdery. Max is also a graduate of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore where he earned both a Bachelors of Music and a Graduate Performance Degree in the studio of Manuel Barrueco.

In 2002, at the American String Teachers’ Association national competition, Max won first prize in his division (under 18 guitar) and Grand Prize for all string instruments in the under 18 division. In March 2003, Max won first prize in the Portland Guitar Festival Solo Guitar Competition. In the spring of 2009, Max premiered a new work by Matthew Cmiel commissioned by the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society in Baltimore and that fall he was the featured performer in the New York City Classical Guitar Society Second Sundays.
