2 Week Film/TV class with Jake Warnecke, Casting Associate, Laura Rosenthal Casting/Sheila Jaffe Casting
A top casting associate for film and TV in LA, Jake's worked with some of the biggest CD's in the business including Laura Rosenthal, Carla Hool, Sheila Jaffe, Howard Meltzer, Alyssa Weisberg, April Webster, Byron Beane, & G Charles Wright.
His recent casting credits include - TV: Tokyo Vice (Max), The L Word: Generation Q (Showtime), Lopez vs Lopez (NBC), Gordita Chronicles (HBOMax), The Orville (Hulu), Ballers (HBO), & Narcos: Mexico (Netflix); Film: Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Sony), Father Stu (Sony), Call Jane (Roadside Attractions), & Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (Disney), as well as multiple pilots and short films.
In 2024 you'll be able to see Jake's work in upcoming films such as Arthur the King starring Mark Wahlberg, and On Swift Horses starring Daisy Edgar Jones and Jacob Elordi.
His 2-week online class will replicate the "real world" television/film audition process and give you insider industry tips to help you book!
Your first week, you'll bring in a 2-3 page scene of your choice to work on. In your second week, you'll work on a scene assigned to you by Jake.
You'll start off with an informative Q&A, followed by your presentation of the scene with a reader on-camera in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.
He's interested in meeting new talent - all types - all ethnicities - all ages (18+).
This class is for adult actors and teens (16+).
WHAT TO PREPARE:
For your first class, please prepare a 2-3 page scene of your choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. You can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration), OR bring in your own 2-3 page scene.
Please email [email protected] your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.
For your second class, Jake will select sides for you to prepare based on your headshot and fully completed MY INFO section in your AC account.
Assignments will be emailed 1-3 days in advance.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
School Notes:
Class end time will vary depending on the number of actors and the scenes that are assigned. Registrants are advised to budget extra time, as class time may run over.
