Guitar With James

James, from the small town of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, started playing music in high school. He took private classical viola lessons with the support of his grandparents. He won a performance award in high school and participated in a guitar competition that led him to play in bands for Ivory Productions and record songs with The Sunset Villains. James found inspiration in teaching others how to improve their guitar technique quickly.

He taught in person on the weekends and worked for Guitar Center and Sam Ash. Now, James has moved his teaching skills online.

He began his journey as a beginner, balancing self-taught lessons and YouTube clips to improve his guitar skills. Through hard work and focus, he mastered the instrument and achieved success in various competitions and events. He won a high school talent show and placed in the top three in many live guitar contests. He also played in bands such as Metropolis America and The Sunset Villains under Ivory Productions, where he learned the professional standards of studio recording, songwriting, and performing.
James believes that bringing out the personality of each student and linking it to their progress is the key to unlocking long-term motivation and growth. He also discovered his talents in sales training after college and connected them with music.
