Michael Yadrick Jr

Teaches at UW Botanic Gardens

Michael Yadrick Jr is a Plant Ecologist with Seattle Parks and Recreation. He joined the Green Seattle Partnership team in 2011. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Bolivia 02-04) and former AmeriCorps member. He also worked with several land trusts before returning home to Seattle. 

Michael currently directs the work of professional crews citywide, and is spellbound with every single madrone tree he sees in the city. Professional tree-hugging during the week, you can also find him exploring public stairways, getting up early to run in nearby mountains and playing at park playgrounds with his 7-yr old son.
