Claire Handscombe graduated with her M.F.A. in 2015. Her essays, poetry, and journalism have appeared in a wide variety of publications, including The Washington Post, Washington Life, and The Washingtonian. When she isn't reading, writing, or playing on social media, she can usually be found curled up with a cup of tea and a West Wing episode.
