Description

We supply all the materials and have 3 to 1 Student to Teacher Ratio! We are so excited to start classes for our little makers! This class is taught by Make IT! Studio’s founder Lara Kazan, who herself designed in the fashion industry for over 25 years. This class is mainly a fashion design and illustration class where we give the student's fun projects to inspire them and at the end of the semester they will work on a mini collection and bring their favorite outfit to life. They will do a full presentation with a mood board sketches and one completed outfit. They will also drape their outfits on our mini dress forms and learn all bout fabric and draping. Lara has learned that many of her students feel more at ease when they have fashion figures that they can use to trace over (their choice). This allows them to be more creative with their designing and not focus all their energy on the anatomy. However, she still teaches tips on how to sketch a fashion figure, as well as use different media, render fabrics, hair and other illustrating techniques. Lara challenges her students so that they are thinking about color, composition, and working around a design theme. We will also have a little Jewelry making added to this class for a bit of variety.

Refund Policy

In the event a student must cancel a class registration, CourseHorse must be notified in writing via email at [email protected] for the student to be eligible for a refund of class fees.

If notice of cancellation is provided 8 or more business days prior to the start of the class, the student will be refunded 95% of their class fees.
If notice of cancellation is provided 5 to 7 business days prior to the start of the class, the student will be refunded 50% of their class fees.
If less than 5 business days notice of cancellation is given, no class fees will be refunded to the student without exception.

Refunds are made in the form of the original payment.

Paid classes are redeemable only for the scheduled session(s) of the class for which you are registered and are not transferable.

Students who fail to show up for a class forfeit any right to a refund or exchange. There are no make-ups for missed classes. This policy is to ensure that the instructors are compensated for their time and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations or no shows.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
