About this Event
Join NYC FTC board member Grace Alignay as she discusses what worker owned co-operatives are and how they contribute to the values of democratic socialism.
Fashion That Works is a worker-owned cooperative business based in Harlem that manufactures garments and accessories for local fashion designers in New York City. We are entirely women-run by a group of seven graduates of Custom Collaborative, a nonprofit entrepreneurship and workforce development program that trains and supports women from low-income and immigrant communities to launch fashion careers and businesses. This year we will begin production work for local fashion brands. We accept sample and contract manufacturing orders of 1 - 200 pieces.
Refund Policy
Full refund less 5% cancellation fee if canceled 11 business days before the event.
We will cancel the event if we do not have at least 10 participants two weeks before the event.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non refundable registration fee.
