During this 2-hour workshop, NYC actor and public speaking coach Sara Glancy will teach you how to apply the principles of acting and improv to your presentations so that you can take the stage with the confidence of a professional actor. (And all without picturing anyone in their underwear.)
Here’s what you’ll learn...

- How to apply professional vocal technique while still sounding like YOU
- The science behind what people perceive as “Stage Presence” or “Charisma” (SPOILER ALERT: It’s a learnable technique—and not even a particularly complicated one...)
- How to banish stage fright (or, at the very least, peacefully cohabitate with it)
- How to create the intimacy of a one-on-one conversation even when speaking to a crowd of hundreds

Such a great workshop! Sara is so incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and she has a great ability to make everyone (even super-nervous beginners) feel comfortable.
What impressed me the most was how flexible she was -- she was able to jump from working with more experienced speakers to beginners, to someone with pacing problems, to someone with voice issues, to someone who was struggling with nerves, to someone who was comfortable in front of people but needed more advanced feedback.
None of her advice was cookie-cutter; it was highly personalized advice from an expert working in her element. It was so fun feeling the immediate differences in yourself, and even more fun to watch the immediate differences happen in the other workshop attendees!
Highly recommended for ALL levels of speakers looking for help with ANY kind of speaking (speaking on stage in front of large audiences, presenting in a work meeting, communicating one-on-one, etc.). I've done other speaking trainings, and in the Actors Touch workshop, Sara covers material I haven't seen elsewhere AND brings an incredible ability to coach people.
