ICND2 v2.0 focuses on understanding redundant topologies, troubleshooting common networking issues, configuring EIGRP and multiarea OSPF in both IPv4 and IPv6, understanding WAN technologies, and becoming familiar with device management and Cisco licensing. This course should be taken after attending the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1 (ICND1) v2.0 course, preparing learners for the Cisco CCNA certification.
ICND2: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 v2.0 Course Objectives- Operate a medium-sized LAN with multiple switches, supporting VLANs, trunking, and spanning tree
- Troubleshoot IP connectivity
- Configure and troubleshoot EIGRP in an IPv4 environment, and configure EIGRP for IPv6
- Configure and troubleshoot OSPF in an IPv4 environment, and configure OSPF for IPv6
- Define characteristics, functions, and components of a WANDescribe SNMP, syslog, and NetFlow, and manage Cisco device configurations, Cisco IOS images, and licenses
ICND2 is designed for those who have a firm background in data networking, have some hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches, and are looking to increase their knowledge of installation, maintaining, and troubleshooting medium-sized switched and routed networks or for those who are looking to achieve the first Associate level Cisco certification, the CCNA Routing and Switching. We strongly recommend that other students start with ICND1. The course is also appropriate for pre- and post-sales network engineers involved in the installation and support of enterprise branch office networks.
This hands-on ICND2 v2.0 Authorized Cisco course builds on the foundation provided by ICND1 (Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices 1), providing entry-level network administrators, network support, and help desk technicians, the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise network.
ICND2: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 v2.0 Course Outline- Small Network Implementation
- Medium-Sized Switched Network Construction
- Medium-Sized Routed Network Construction
- Single Area OSPF Implementation
- EIGRP Implementation
- Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- Address Space Management
- LAN Extension into a WAN
