Kyriacos C. Markides, an award-winning professor of sociology at the University of Maine and author of seven widely translated books on Christian mysticism, including The Mountain of Silence, Gifts of the Desert, and most recently, Inner River: A Pilgrimage to the Heart of Christian Spirituality, lectures and leads workshops widely in the U.S. and internationally.
