Join us as we explore the perfect winter wines to bring warmth to your table during January’s deep winter chill.
We will explore a series of red wines which are perfect for pairing with the slow cooking of the winter months.
From Bordeaux’s classic wines of pedigree to Rioja, Tuscany and Chateauneuf du Pape, these are wines that cry out for the weight and complexity of stews, game, braised meats and vegetables.
Mary John Baumann DipWSET will help you discover what gives these wines their unique aroma and flavor characteristics, and offer guidance on how to match your wine with your meal, whether at home or in a restaurant.

Miette means, "little crumb" in French. This name was chosen while giving cooking classes at the restaurant Tartine in the West Village. Since Tartine means "slice of bread" we thought it an appropriate name for the school!

There are 2 entrances located between Umbertos Clam House. One is to the left if facing the restaurant and that is 1 flight up the stairs you will need to press 11 then the green bell key and wait to be buzzed in. The other is to the right of the restaurant that is a black street level elevator and just press the elevator button to gain access and go to the 2nd floor. There is also an intercom system there as well in case the elevator is locked. Closest Train stations are: B,D at Grand Street,N, R, J, Q, 6 at Canal Street. Parking is available on Elizabeth & Mott between Hester and Canal Street.
