How to Make YouTube Videos Using Your iPhone
The class was fantastic! The teacher was clear and very informative. She was also excellent at handling another student's persistent, rather strange questions in a graceful manner. Thank you! -
How to Make YouTube Videos Using Your iPhone
Great instructor, gave good practical advice. -
Logic Pro X: An Introduction to Logic Pro
I was struggling with Logic Pro and this class made it very easy to understand how to use the tool. The instructor was great and gave us a lot of tips and tricks. I thought it was a bit long though and the content could have been condensed into two days. We didn’t do much on the third day. -
After Effects Bootcamp
Kalika was a fantastic instructor bringing patience and humor to every lesson. Thanks to her, I have a strong grasp on the topics covered, am confident in my skills and capability to delve further into the app. Kalika is the rare teacher who goes the extra mile for her students because she's happy to. One suggestion note is that there are a few lessons that start off with importing or setting up in more than one way for the sake of learning how different modes function. I think the class would benefit from taking time in between the demonstrations to practice that part before continuing into the bulk of the lesson - I found that I forgot what the take-away was from that initial portion of the lesson by the time the demonstration was over, and conducting that portion on my own created an interruption between the demonstration and going through the section on my own. -
Swift Coding Academy
The instructor I had Mark Meretzky was very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond in the source material we used for the class which is based on the Apple books 1) Intro to App Development with Swift and 2) App Development with Swift. There were a lot of typos and unclear instructions and missing information in the books which wasn't his fault (Apple wrote the book!). But he made sure to flesh out any information that was missing and was so patient in answering any questions students asked. And if he couldn't answer the question, he'd come back the next class and answer it! He was always well prepared for each class. Despite some of the shortcomings of the textbook, I think overall the outline of the course really covers the important areas that you need to know and to get started with Swift development. It is easily the best money I've ever spent given the amount of instruction time and the knowledge I gained in this class alone. The class covered many of the fundamentals you need to know in a programming language: Classes, Structures, Protocols, Constants/ Variables/Properties, Functions/Methods, Collections (Arrays, Dictionaries), Conditionals, Loops, Basic Operators, Scope, Extensions, Enumerations, Closures, etc. There were additional topics that weren't covered by the book that we had an extra 2 weeks to go over as well. And those are just programming topics. The class definitely goes into other topics that are essential to developing apps on iOS such as using Xcode, playgrounds, storyboard, reading Apple Developer documentation, using the iOS simulator, using some of the more popular Apple frameworks, etc. I'm not sure if it'll be the same instructor teaching this course in the future, but even if you take a look at the books the class is based on you can get an idea of what you'll be covering. If you're like me and prefer having an in-class experience where you ask questions in person then it's hard to beat what you get out of this course for the amount it costs. 270 hours for ~$1900? It's a steal! But be ready to work hard! You only get what you put into it and it's a long course. -
Swift Coding Academy
Mark Meretzky did a fantastic job. He was always very well prepared. He covered a lot of stuff that I even wasn't aware of. For me that's the best course that you can have for this price. The material that we had to work with comes from Apple so Mark is not responsible of the content but he's very positive and he made sure that everything was clear for us. He even corrected all the mistakes that you can find in Apple's courses!!! I would say that he gave us 50 times more that was expected in the ebooks. The course was funny too. I will miss this class and I will miss Mark for sure. -
iOS App Development Intensive
Noble's iOS Development course has taken me from pure novice in code of any kind to about to publish my very own iOS app. I'd tried paid online courses, tutorials and books but it all ended in frustration. One reason being that the language Swift has been developing and changing so much that online wasn't keeping up. There's nothing like having a live coding expert in the same room. Noble finds excellent teachers (who are also patient with beginners) and is very generous with workbooks, downloadable materials and files in order to keep everything up to date. Taking this course was the best decision I've made in the last ten years..! -
iOS App Development (with Swift) Level 1
For a designer like me with just basic programming experience, the iOS introductory app development class was a nicely structured way to dip my toes into what is a vast topic without becoming completely overwhelmed. I learned quickly because I could see results every step of the way. -
After Effects Bootcamp
This is a great intensive course to get you started with After Effects. I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning this. I would definitely take more classes at Noble Desktop. -

FCP 101 - Introduction to Final Cut Pro X
Recently, a work colleague and I attended the class Final Cut 101 - An Intro to Final Cut Pro offered by your organization. Although we were both familiar with this program from years of working with it, we were seeking Apple Certification. We were both impressed and pleased with the course structure and instruction that we received. We were also impressed with the knowledge level of our instructor, Beau Tardy, and the exceptional and comfortable atmosphere that Future Media Concepts, Inc. provided. As employees of MiND TV, we not only use Final Cut Pro for our own work, we also train members of our television station on how to use the program. This class has strengthened not only our own knowledge of the program, but also our ability to teach others. Thank you again for a wonderful class! -
FCP 101 - Introduction to Final Cut Pro X
Yossy, I've been meaning to contact you to express thanks for your Final Cut training class that i attended at the end of July. Although I've been editing on Final Cut for almost two years, I benefitted greatly from your instruction. It served to strongly reinforce the features I was familiar with, as well as introduce me to some new and powerful features that I had never used. I have been revisiting the training manual extensively the past week or two (along with reviewing the notes I took during your class). I hope to schedule my certification test soon. Also, I'm requesting our agency to send me to the entire battery of classes for Final Cut Master certification, so hopefully I can benefit from your expertise at least in Advanced Final Cut class. Thanks again for your instruction, and I'll let you know how I make out on the Intro certification." -

Beginner Powerpoint for Macs
The instructor was informative and very helpful to all. -
Logic Pro X: An Introduction to Logic Pro
Learned a TON in 3 days. It's a lot of info to cram in so if you have the time I might rec taking a class that draws this out over a month or two with classes that are a few hours in length. But if you're like me and wanted to get the skills and info more quickly, this is great. It's just tedious to be absorbing info for 8 hours straight, three days in a row. Be prepared for that! Small class size means lots of time for any question you might have and Tyrone knew his stuff and was a patient, clear instructor. -
After Effects Bootcamp
I had been trying to learn After Effects on my own for a while, but it wasn't until I decided to take the course through Noble Desktop that things really started to make sense for me. Now I feel that I have a solid foundation and am more excited than before about learning After Effects. As much as I enjoyed this class, I only wish that there was a second part to this course or something that would take you into some of the more intermediate/advanced techniques with track mattes, rotoscoping, null objects etc. -
After Effects Bootcamp
After Effects seemed really intimidating but after this class I was able to jump right into projects without hesitation. I was able to use my new skills the first day after class ended on a business pitch, which we won! -
Mac Computers for Beginners
The class was excellent and very informative, there should be a part 2. -
PC vs. Mac
Great instructor, small group. All questions answered. -
After Effects Bootcamp
Great class! Super knowledgeable and personable instructor, you learn a lot for an intro course! -
Digital Storytelling Using iMovie
Another great class in the Midtown Manhattan NYPL Mac Lab! Kurt is a fantastic instructor, whose teaching style is clear, concise and very patient. Highly recommend one of his classes! -
