Kundalini Yoga was the first practice of yoga ever created, and the deep science of spiritual awakening and total awareness of energy and emotion has stood the test of time. Kundalini Yoga is the awakening of the power of YOUR internal energy. In fact, it has been scientifically proven to activate specific parts of your brain that increase awareness and generate balanced control! Kundalini Yoga practices working with our seven energy centers that lie within the body called chakras, that overtime becomes blocked or cloudy due to physical illness and emotional stress. Benefits of Kundalini also include increased flexibility, expanded lung capacity, core strength, and stress alleviation. Kundalini aims to achieve freedom in the body and mind--unhurt, unstuck, and unbeaten.
As we close out this year, on December 11th, we focus on our fourth chakra, the Anahata heart chakra. The heart chakra is connected to self-love, compassion, forgiveness and transformation. Opening of the heart chakra can bring a deeper connection to the exchange of energy with the beauty of the world around you.
As part of an ongoing workshop series, instructor Paola Dattner will guide attendees on a journey of chakra balance and mindfulness to the tune of live music played by Peruvian musician Piero Rossini. A Kundalini practice, meditation, breathwork, and focused journaling will be combined with live music intended to create and enhance group vibrational frequencies. These musical frequencies are tuned to the frequency of the heart chakra intended to give power and help bring balance your fourth chakra.
