Learn how to crochet with the traditional first project - the dishcloth. Actually, if you prefer, make it a washcloth or scarf, but regardless, the skills you learn will serve you well in any future crochet endeavor. Skills taught: Chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, fastening off.
