What you'll learn in this furniture class:

NEW!!  Bring in a small piece of furniture to paint.  This class will give a brief introduction to the Van Gogh Fossil Paint Collection, a chance to get started by painting a sample board and then we'll jump right in and start painting a small piece of furniture that you bring in.  Please make sure it's small enough to paint in one class.  Sending photos in ahead of time will ensure you're on the right track.

You will have access to the whole Van Gogh Paintology Palette to create a new look for a worn out piece or one you just want to give new life.  There are usually lots of candidates at What's Your Consignment so if you'd like, come early and pick up a piece ahead of time.

The piece you bring should be ready to paint, give it a good wipe down with warm water and a soft rag and come on over.  The best candidate for this project is one with good bones and has no huge flaws.  After all, we're here to paint, not to do a lot of in depth carpentry!

You'll get to experience the whole process on your sample board: Layering Paint, Distressing and Waxing. Due to drying time, you'll finish your piece at home using the new skills you learned in class.

If you're ready to dive in then this class is for you.
