What you'll learn in this pottery wheel class:

This class will pick up where the canceled class left off.

This class explores wheel throwing vessels, and different strategies for alter the symmetrical forms with methods like cutting, pressing, and mutating. We cover lotus bowls, Face mugs, throwing legs or handles, and slip decoration.

Some throwing experience required (throw a centered cylinder)

  • Includes 25 pounds of clay and firing. $2/pound to purchase more clay (price includes glaze and firing).
  • Students must purchase their own tools
  • Students must follow studio safety guidelines (listed on the site)
  • Students have an additional 10 hours open access to the studio via sign up.
  • Classes non-refundable after the first class commences. Make-up classes negotiable, but not guaranteed. If you have a conflict with a class please let us know in advance.

HEALTH WARNING: Wheel throwing can be a physically intense on joints and muscles. Can cause minor strains and injury.
