The Art of Asking
The hoots, hollers, and wild appause from the audience can be one of the most gratifying parts of burlesque. This class teaches an ethic of interaction and reciprocity with the audience, focusing on learning how to earn audience feedback and let the audience know when it's time to cheer. Make your "Wow!" moments land harder, and keep your character up from your first step on stage to the flutter close of the curtains.

Pasties are one of those burlesque basics that almost all performers should be proficient in. In this workshop, you'll learn about different Pastie making materials, shapes, and embellishments. We'll also address speciality and novelty pasties, as an added bonus! Fan Dancing Basics for Burlesque
Sally Rand style fan dancing with those giant ostrich fans certainly looks effortless, and tons of fun! However, there are many technical aspects to this performance style. We'll learn just the basics, like proper fan handling, fan upkeep, and a few, fun, feathery moves. If you have fans, please bring them, otherwise there will be a rental charge of $10 for a set. No dance experience required.
