Shape and form metal to achieve various textures. Learn soldering and cold connections, and finishing techniques. You can expect to learn proper uses of hand tools and studio equipment by creating a ring, pendant, pin, and project of your choice to incorporate the various methods explored. Autumn Gourd Workshop
The natural mottling of gourds makes a wonderful background for the transparent dyes that are used. A woodburning tool is used to create and shade the image before the dyes are applied. Gourds are sealed with a wax and buffed. Fall designs will be available or bring your own ideas! Bring leather gloves, mask, disposable gloves, paper towels. All other supplies will be provided.
