Joe Burgess - Lead Python Instructor
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Joe started helping others create as a Teacher's Assistant. By senior year, he helped create an iPhone app for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and went on to work with faculty to develop an iOS class to be taught at CMU. After working at IBM, he returned to what he really loves and started at Flatiron School.
Sergey Fogelson - Lead Data Science Instructor
Sergey graduated from Dartmouth with a PhD in Neuroscience in 2013 and immediately left academia to work in the startup space in NYC. He is currently a Data Scientist at Tapad, a digital advertising startup, where he built out the company's graph analytic capabilities. He enjoys dissecting “intractable” problems and learning to use new languages and frameworks. He codes primarily in Python and in Scala. He also enjoys teaching, and is currently a volunteer computer science teacher through the TEALS program.
