Tami Whatcott

Teaches at Chicago Dance

Tami  is from Fillmore, Utah. She graduated from Utah Valley University with a BFA in Modern Dance and a BS in Dance Education. She traveled to Spain in May of 2011 with Contemporary Dance Ensemble where she was able to perform and teach at the Royal Conservatorio De Danza De Cordoba and Conservatorio Superior De Danza De Madrid. Tami lived and worked in China for a month in summer 2011. She taught at Southwest Jiao Jong University, Guangxi University, and at a sports conference in Tian Jin. Her work consisted of certifying dance and cheer coaches, working with different teams across the country, and helping implement a dance and cheer program for the Chinese Cheerleading Association.

She has been a member of Synergy Dance Company, Contemporary Dance Ensemble, UVU Ballroom Tour Team, danced and coached professionally for the Utah Flash and is currently dancing for Chicago Contemporary Dance Company. She has been an instructor for Universal Dance Association for the past 7 years where she has had the opportunity to travel nation and international wide to teach, perform, choreograph and judge in many genres from high school to college levels.

She has been trained in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and Ballroom and has done choreography for The Utah Jazz Dancers, Utah Flash Dancers, Synergy Modern Dance Company, and numerous different studio’s and award winning high schools across the western United States.
